ABOUT Me

Abigail Emery is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She has participated in numerous productions at the School of Dance, showcasing her talent in works such as Thang Dao’s premiere of “Nevermore” in the fall of 2022 and Tamara Dyke-Compton’s restaging of “Pasadena” in the spring of 2022, among others.


Her journey in dance commenced in Easley, South Carolina, before she embarked on her formal training at Expressenz Dance Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. At Expressenz, she was given various opportunities to compete and perform on renowned stages, including appearances on America’s Got Talent, Lucas Oil Stadium for BeachBody’s annual coaches summit, and two consecutive years performing in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s annual Christmas Show Yuletide, under the direction of Ty Johnson and Jen Ladner. Additionally, she honed her skills through participation in conventions and dance competitions, accruing numerous awards over the years.


Abigail also serves as a dance instructor at Cleveland Ballet Conservatory, where she imparts her knowledge across a range of styles, specializing primarily in jazz and lyrical. She has previously taught at Dance Force-1 in Tucson and Expressenz Dance Center in Indianapolis. She brings a unique approach to teaching, emphasizing not only technical proficiency but also the importance of mental health and well-being. Her overarching goal is to instill confidence and a growth mindset in her students, equipping them for diverse career paths in the future.


As a young aspiring artist and educator, Abigail has already amassed a considerable list of accomplishments in her blossoming career. Her time at the University of Arizona has provided an environment for personal and artistic growth, challenging her to excel as a performer, choreographer, and teacher. She remains committed to further developing these skills as a new resident of Cleveland, Ohio.
